Christmas 2013
Christmas ornaments! The old man head is from 2012, finished in 2013 (still counts for the 2012 ornament, though). The fetus blob is for 2013. My boyfriend, Matt, sculpted them, I painted them. A new tradition, I look forward to having a tree full of these.

sketchbook 08
To attempt to stay fresh, I've been spending a lot of time doing study sketches. Ive been feeling restricted so this is my first recent attempt to loosen up my style a bit more. Concentrating making more permanent marks, single strokes, using pen and marker. Staying out of Photoshop, I miss working with real media.
More to come soon!

Beasts WIP 03
Nailing down some lighting! One of my favorite parts, and a very important part of the art-making process is laying down a color pallet and getting the proper feel for your scene.

Mead WIP 02
The finished ones still havn't been shipped out, so I'm waiting to post the finals, but I just cant stand the wait. I have to post these WIP shots of the mead label I made before I explode. It's been finished for months.
I was really indecisive about the direction I wanted to take it, I thought I would share some of the more key ones.

new supplies!
vintage tackle box i got at the antique flea market last week to hold some of my art supplies. the lady that sold it said she thought it was from the 50s? lets see how long it stays looking this organized... beside it is an old as dirt lunchbox i got from my grandmother a while ago that also holds art supplies.
Hookah WIP 02
Just showing off the slow progress I've been doing with this painting. I just started to work on it again recently, so it's not quite dead yet. Learning a lot about this medium.

winter slippers
i can never seem to find slippers that are warm enough to keep the circulation kickin in my feet, that are also comfy, and have durable soles. so i made my own.
soles are made from leather. theyre stuffed with batting and have soft, short faux fur all over the inside. perfectly warm, and pretty fun to make.
